Domestic violence suspect arrested by Elk Grove Police, allegedly points gun at victim

An Elk Grove man was arrested after threatening a domestic violence victim with a firearm.

According to Elk Grove Police, David Leroy Capp Jr., 49, attempted to choke his victim in the early morning hours of Sunday, August 19. Capps then retrieved a firearm, pointed it at the victim threatening to shoot, and prevented the victim from calling for police help.

Responding officers detained and arrested Capps as he was attempting to leave the area. Capps was booked into the county jail but has been released on bail.
