Juvenile suspect arrested by Elk Grove Police on arson charges

A 15-year old male suspect was placed in custody at the Sacramento County Juvenile Hall on suspicion of arson.

Just at 2 p.m on Wednesday, July 17 Elk Grove Police officers and the Cosumnes Fire Department responded to a fire on Geneva Pointe Drive in north Elk Grove to a fire that burned a vehicle and vegetation. A surveillance video revealed the suspect, a Sacramento resident, allegedly starting the fire in bushes near the vehicle.

Officers were able to locate the juvenile and take him into custody.
