Suspect arrested in Elk Grove bank robbery

A man suspected of robbing an Elk Grove bank yesterday was taken into custody by Elk Grove Police.

The suspect, Jacob Andrew Garcia, 35, of Sacramento, was arrested after receiving tips he had been observed at a business on the 6000 block of Stockton Boulevard. Video surveillance confirmed the person inside the business was the same person sought in the robbery of the Wells Fargo bank yesterday afternoon.

At about 2 a.m. today, police learned Garcia returned to the Stockton Boulevard business. Officers from Elk Grove and Sacramento Police Departments arrived and took Garcia into custody.

Garcia is held without bail and will be arraigned on Friday, March 19.
