Want Elk Grove Police at your neighborhood National Night Out gathering?

This year's National Night Out will be on Tuesday, August 6. In a public outreach effort, the Elk Grove Police Department is offering their participation at neighborhood events.

Below is a statement from EGPD.

National Night Out, sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch, is a neighborhood crime and drug prevention event that occurs annually and is celebrated in every city, town and village in the US.

In addition to increasing awareness of crime and drug prevention programs, NNO also strengthens neighborhood spirit and community-police partnerships, while sending a message to criminals that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back against crime!

If you and your neighbors would like the Elk Grove Police Department and the Cosumnes Fire Department to visit your neighborhood block party on Tuesday, August 6, 2019, please complete the on-line request form below and submit it by Tuesday, July 23, 2019.

Unfortunately, we are unable to guarantee that an officer, or fire department representative, will be in attendance. Since these first responders are on-duty, calls for service might prevent their participation. If you have any questions, please contact the Crime Prevention unit at (916) 478-8122 or crimeprevention@elkgrovepd.org.

The request form is available  here.
