Sacramento County District Attorney Alana Mathews stepped up her campaign activities this weekend with a canvassing effort and text messaging outreach targeted voters.

An Elk Grove News reader who identifies as an Asian Pacific Islander woman shared her exchange with a Mathews this weekend. When asked by the texting volunteer about important issues, the reader said she was concerned about Roe v Wade without revealing her position on reproductive rights and mentioned anti-Asian hate.
