Does this reinforce Detrick's contention during candidate forum?

During last Thursday's Elk Grove city council candidate forum, district three candidate Steve Detrick said the small problems in neighborhoods need to be taken care of to prevent larger ones from taking hold. While a few broken streetlight lamps does not constitute a crime wave, it does lend credence to Detrick's assertion. Perhaps more attention should be paid to these minor crimes along with focused emphasis on code enforcement so bigger problems don't develop.
