Robert Lehner was sworn in as Elk Grove's new police chief before a standing-room-only crowd last night in the city council chambers.
Lehner, the former chief of Eugene, OR. police dept. replaces Robert Simmons who is retiring. Lehner will receive a salary of $$169,754.
After being sworn in, Lehner took the opportunity to address the community. Watch the video below:
