Elk Grove Man Arrested For Firearm Assault, Domestic Violence

An Elk Grove man was arrested early Sunday evening following a reported domestic violence incident that included the use of a shotgun.


According to Elk Grove Police, 29-year old suspect David Liermann was in a verbal argument that escalated in to a physical altercation. Liermann reportedly slapped the victim in the face and pointed a shotgun at the victim.

When the victim called the police, Liermann fled the home. Responding officers recovered the shotgun that was allegedly pointed at the victim.

Liermann was later contacted by officers at the scene and was arrested on firearm assault and domestic violence charges. The suspect was transferred to the county jail.
