During the first six months of 2009, Elk Grove City Council member Gary Davis raised $18,800.
During this time period, Davis announced he will seek the Democratic nomination to run against Republican Dan Lungren for California's third congressional district. Davis will face fellow Democrat's Dr, Ami Bera and Bill Slaton in the June 2010 primary.
