Elk Grove Parolee Arrested on Weapons Charges

Two Elk Grove residents were arrested Friday morning following a probation search.

According to Elk Grove Police reports, officers stopped a vehicle for a code violation early Friday on the 8500 block of Elk Grove-Florin Road. A records search revealed that one of the vehicles occupants, 23-year old Lonnie Mitchell, was on a searchable probation.

A search of the vehicle found a loaded firearm in the vehicle’s center console. Mitchell and 18-year old Louis Mitchell of Elk Grove were arrested and transferred to the county jail.

Forgery suspect arrested

Police also report the arrest of a forgery suspect on Friday afternoon.

30-year old suspect Vincent Qualls of Citrus Heights was arrested after her tried to cash a forged check the Bank of America on Elk Grove Boulevard. The suspect was transferred to the county jail.
