To all the loyal readers of EGN, we certainly hope you enjoyed the last few days, were able to spend time with loved ones and got a bit of respite. We are happy to report we too were able to take a much needed break.

With 2010 almost upon us, two of the major issues in Elk Grove will be the November elections and the proposal to change Elk Grove from a general law city to charter city. Not coincidentally, the last official Elk Grove government public meeting of 2009 will be the Charter Commission’s meeting this Wednesday, December 30 at 6:00 PM.

In the coming year we will continue to cover local politics and other news events. Your suggestions are always welcome.
