Who Will Win Michigan?

Will weather play an important role in Michigan's primary?

Regular readers to this site know our association with Michigan and the Great Lakes State has been in news a lot of late because of tomorrow's all important primary. With that in mind, a close friend of ours was contacted and we asked him who he would vote for and his prediction.

Our friend described the four Republican candidates this way.

Rick Santorun - He talks to God
Mitt Romney - Has no God (according to those who believe the LDS is a cult. His words, not ours.)
Newt Gingrich - Thinks he is God
Ron Paul - Can't find God mentioned in the Constitution

Our erstwhile pundit pretty sums up the problem for the Republican party in 2012.

Now for his prediction.

Romney will win and it will not be from his self-trumpeted favorite son status, rather it will be weather-based. EGNs pundit notes there is foul weather predicted tomorrow in Western Michigan - the state's version of the Bible Belt.

Those voters more likely to vote for Santorum will be hobbled by the weather. Chalk up one for the Mitt our pundit predicts.

If this unfolds this way it is not exactly a ringing endorsement for Romney. If that happens, the echo-chamber of "brokered" convention will undoubtedly gain volume.

As who he will vote for - none of the above.

We will see what happens in about 24 hours from now.
