Two armed robbers attempted to burglarize an Elk Grove residence early Saturday night.

According to Elk Grove Police, two unknown suspects, one armed with a handgun, entered a house on the 10200 block of Schoech Way in Elk Grove's East Franklin neighborhood. Once inside the residence, they confronted the home owner and fled.

The suspects were seen entering a gray four-door sedan that was occupied by two other unknown suspects. The first suspect was described as a black male adult, 18 to 20, 5`8" to 5`10", skinny build, wearing a light gray sweatshirt and jeans and the other suspect was a black male aged 10 to 20 years of age, 5'8", stocky build and wore a blue sweatshirt. 

The residents were not injured.
