Many Americans know Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell. Many
residents in Elk Grove know Mayor Steve Ly.
McConnell is
a man with great power in Washington DC as the Republican leader of the U.S. Senate
and by default, an international power broker. Outside of
the Elk Grove area and a few pockets of supporters in Fresno and Minneapolis,
Ly is not that well known and as an individual politician, has limited influence.
Throughout
his long career, Republican McConnell, with recent exceptions to accommodate
President Trump’s support of Putin and Russia’s interference in American
elections is a rock rib conservative. You know, a law
and order, voter suppression, state right’s sort of guy.
And even
thought he has not displayed many of the supposed characteristics in his
comparatively short political career, Ly is
reputed to be a liberal member of the Democratic party.
On the
surface these two elected officials appear to be polar opposites. But they do share a few important characteristics.

Thank you for the podcast. The amazing thing is how cheaply the Council members can be bought off for, considering the profits made on the other end. Of course, this assumes that the Form 460s (political campaign fund disclosures) are telling the whole story!
But what we end up with is essentially a City Council made up of five Bernie Lomax bobbleheads (Weekend at Bernies) who have their scripts handed to them by the Granite Bay Boys! "It's Grow Time"
I am very concerned about Steve Ly's trips to China and his seemingly ties to donors from that country. What do they want here in Elk Grove and what is Ly's price?
And who is the corporate backer of Democrats? Corporations like Google, Facebook, Twitter, and other mainstream media corporations. Billionaires like Bloomberg, Soros, Bill Gates, George Soros, etc.... Why single out individuals politicians, when they all do it. Hypocrisy
