Vehicular manslaughter charges filed against suspected drunk driver who crashed into Rancho Cordova house




A man suspect of drunk driving who allegedly crashed his vehicle into a house resulting in the death of one person is in custody at the county jail and is charged with vehicular manslaughter.

According to Rancho Cordova Police, officers responded to the 10300 block of Georgetown Drive regarding a vehicle that crashed into a residential dwelling. Two people inside the residence were injured but are expected to survive the injuries, and a third victim involved in the collision was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The driver of the vehicle has been identified as Gary Circle, 45, of Rancho Cordova. After an investigation, Circle was arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, among other charges. 

Arraignment is Wednesday, January 22, and bail is $1 million.
