Elk Grove convenience store robbed at gunpoint

An Elk Grove convenience store on the city's southwest side was robbed at gunpoint Sunday afternoon.

According to Elk Grove Police reports, an unknown suspect entered the Food Stop convenience store on the 5600 block of Whitelock Parkway yesterday afternoon with a gun and demanded money from the clerk. The clerk complied and gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of currency.

The the suspect fled the store in an unknown direction. the suspect was described at a Black male adult wearing a mask, black jacket and a black backpack.
